We’ve just launched a new range of Scottish Landscape “Wearable Art” Sterling silver and aluminium jewellery and we are over the moon with it!I’ve been toying with this idea for ages but as soon as we made our first bangle I knew it was going to be worth exploring further. To make the jewellery we heat fuse my printed artwork onto shaped aluminium pieces and then bend them into bangle shapes or fit them onto sterling silver chains or long earring hooks. We chose shapes for the pendants that suit each individual landscape image so we have a mixture of oval or round pendants on 16″ heavy omega chain (like a more rigid version of a snake chain) or semi-circular pendants on 22″ belcher chain. For “The Road North” Glencoe image we chose a striking chevron shape which echoes the shape of the mountains.
The result is hard-wearing, glossy statement jewellery which has the added benefit of being hypoallergenic. It’s really lightweight too so it’s easy to wear.
You’ll find these for sale through many of our stockist as well as here on the website.
We hope you like them!
